Frequently Asked Questions
Does it really work?
Yes. Many years ago laser & IPL treatments may have required more treatment sessions to become hairless, but thanks to advancements in technology that is no longer the case.
How many sessions do I need?
Some clients only require 5 - 6 treatments & are seeing results much faster than in the past. However the time it takes to complete a full series of treatments varies from person to person & the is also dependant on the region of hair receiving the treatment. On average typical treatment time is 12 - 24 months.
Will it work on me?
When laser hair removal was introduced, it worked best on light skin individuals who had dark hair. Now, the treatments are effective for all skin types & are completely safe.
Im red after treatments?
Immediately after treatment you may notice mild redness and swelling which is a good indication that treatments are going to work for you so don't worry.
How do I prepare for the treatment?
Preparing for your first treatment starts with a conversation with your aesthetician. At the minimum you will have to avoid the sun entirely or use 30+ SPF sunscreen. Avoid self tanning products. You should shave the night before treatment but don't wax, tweeze or have electrolysis between or in a month prior of treatment. The day of treatment refrain from using any skin care products.
What should I tell my aesthetician?
The key to good results is to be transparent and honest with your technician so they can have a clearer picture of how to best treat you based on your patient profile. Ask lots of question during the consultation.

Laser Hair Removal
Laser hair removal is one of the most commonly done procedures in North America. It works by beaming concentrated light into hair follicles which is absorbed by the pigment in the follicle resulting in the hair being destroyed.
Laser is useful for removing unwanted hairs all over the body and is precise & quick enough to treat many hairs at a time while leaving surrounding skin undamaged.
